Cantata This Sunday!

Come join us this Sunday morning during our 8:15 and 10:45 services for a special time of worship. The Adult Choir will be singing "All Bown Down," a Christmas Cantata focusing on the Lordship of our Savior from the very moment of His birth. Many hours have been put in each week over the last few months in preparation for this day. The Choir is excited and ready to lead and worship along with you. You will truly be blessed.

In Him,
Sean

Last night during our business meeting, we voted to take up a love offering for a young man from the Congo, who is in need of support to continue his education at Crowder College. Prayerfully consider giving!

This week's sermon is entitled "Get Interrupted--Don't forget to Worship." Hopefully, it will help us to focus on worshipping Jesus as the priority of the season.

Also, Sunday night, the BSU students from Crowder will be sharing during the evening service. This will give us a great opportunity to see this particular ministry that we pray for and support financially.

There is a business meeting following the evening service.

If you missed Night in Bethlehem last week, make  plans to attend this Wednesday night; it is an awesome event focused on the birth of our Savior.

Anouncing 2 Sunday Morning Worship Services!

Worshipers have the opportunity to choose to attend an earlier worship service now at Fellowship Baptist Church in Neosho. An additional worship service has been added to the usual Sunday morning line-up, giving church-goers more flexibility in their Sunday morning routines.
The first worship service begins at 8:15 a.m. with Sunday School classes immediately following that at 9:30 a.m. A second worship service follows Sunday School at the usual time of 10:45 a.m. Nursery and Children’s Church services will be provided at both sessions. Sunday evening service will remain at 6:00 p.m.
Seating space in the sanctuary necessitated the schedule change. While Fellowship Baptist Church isn’t a large congregation, it is on the grow. A building committee is looking at the option of constructing a larger sanctuary, however, pastor Buddy Funk felt the Lord leading the congregation in the direction of adding an additional service until that vision can become a reality.
“One of the biggest factors that led us to this decision was watching our attendance fluctuate. Church growth experts will tell you when a church is 80 percent full you must consider it full. Whenever we have reached that 80 percent capacity our attendance would drop the next couple of weeks. Then we seem to build back up to 80 percent, then another drop,” Funk said.
“At first we were a little nervous about making changes, but many of our members have embraced the opportunity for an earlier worship service to accommodate their lives. As the pastor, I have been pleasantly overwhelmed by the amount of flexibility and willingness on the part of our congregation to sacrifice more time and energy to create another worship service. We are truly excited about how the Lord might choose to bless this additional service.”
While Buddy Funk will bring the message, worship/youth pastor Sean Pratt will lead the worship at both Sunday morning services.
“Both worship times will include a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary praise music. Keeping the services identical is important to maintaining the strong connection between the members of our congregation as we seek to glorify the King,” Pratt added.
You are invited to attend either service with Sunday School classes either preceding or following the service you choose. Other services include Sunday evening service at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday Morning Bible Study at 10:00 a.m., TeamKid and Echo Youth Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
